Partnership Work

No single organisation can tackle the challenges facing our communities alone. DVA brings together Derbyshire’s VCFSE, communities and strategic partners to share knowledge, build relationships and develop better solutions together.

By combining community insight and lived experience with the expertise and resources of our partners, we help turn shared ambitions into meaningful action that improves health and wellbeing across Derbyshire.

Better Outcomes Start With Working Together

No single organisation can tackle the complex challenges affecting the health and wellbeing of Derbyshire’s communities.

DVA brings together the knowledge and reach of the VCFSE with the resources, expertise and influence of public, private and strategic partners. By building trusted relationships and sharing what we know, we can develop solutions that are more connected, responsive and rooted in what communities actually need.

Partnership is therefore not simply part of how DVA delivers projects — it is fundamental to how we work.

What DVA Brings to a Partnership

Community Connection

Strong relationships with VCFSE organisations and communities give us insight into local strengths, challenges and emerging needs.

Sector Knowledge

Our understanding of Derbyshire’s VCFSE helps partners connect with organisations, experience and expertise that might otherwise be difficult to reach.

Lived Experience

We create opportunities for people and communities to contribute their experience, helping ensure projects and services reflect real lives and needs.

Collaboration & Co-design

We bring people around the same table, helping turn different perspectives, resources and ideas into practical action.

From Connection to Community Impact

Listen
Understand community experience, evidence and need.

Connect
Bring together the right communities, organisations and partners.

Co-design
Develop approaches together rather than imposing solutions.

Act
Turn shared knowledge and resources into meaningful community action.

We work with organisations across the voluntary, public, health, education and community sectors, building relationships around a shared ambition to improve health, wellbeing and community resilience.
