From June 2024 Community Chesterfield consolidated their resources with Derbyshire Voluntary Action, this move allows us to enhance the services and support we provide to our community.
Community Chesterfield have learnt and achieved a lot over the course of our project, and we know that taking that knowledge and drive into the core of DVA only makes us stronger in what we do.

Community Chesterfield is an innovative, collaborative partnership between Derbyshire Voluntary Action and the University of Derby. Based at the St Helena Campus, Chesterfield, we work to bring Chesterfield’s community organisations and the University together to strengthen the local health and social care sector. The project is community-led and is funded by the National Lottery Community Fund.
Collaborations have included events such as a coproduction session looking at a community shared space in Chesterfield, shared learning sessions and a busy training programme, student placements, research and volunteering.
