Voluntary Sector Forum

DVA’s Voluntary Sector Forum creates a space for charities, community groups, faith organisations and social enterprises from across Derbyshire to connect, share experiences and learn from one another.

By bringing the sector together, we can identify shared challenges and opportunities, celebrate what is working and build a stronger collective voice that helps shape DVA’s priorities and wider strategic conversations.

Stronger When We Work Together

Derbyshire’s VCFSE organisations have a wealth of knowledge about their communities, but no single organisation sees the whole picture.

DVA’s Voluntary Sector Forum creates a space to bring those experiences together. It gives organisations the opportunity to build relationships, share what they are seeing on the ground and explore the challenges and opportunities facing our sector.

What we hear helps DVA understand where support is needed and strengthens the evidence we take into conversations with partners and decision-makers.

What Happens at a DVA Forum?

Connect

Meet other VCFSE organisations, community leaders and partners, build relationships and discover opportunities to work together.

Share

Talk openly about the opportunities, pressures and emerging needs you are seeing in your organisation and community.

Collaborate

Explore ideas, share experience and identify where organisations can work together rather than tackling challenges alone.

Influence

Help build the evidence and collective voice DVA uses to represent Derbyshire’s VCFSE sector in wider strategic conversations.

Your Voice Creates Action

Our Forums aren’t conversations that end when the meeting finishes.

We bring together what organisations tell us, identify common themes and use that insight to shape DVA’s priorities, strengthen our strategic representation and make the case for the support Derbyshire’s VCFSE needs.

DVA Forums bring together people from across Derbyshire’s VCFSE sector. Whether you are part of a small grassroots group, established charity, faith organisation, community project or social enterprise, your experience can add something valuable to the conversation.

You don’t need to arrive with all the answers. Come ready to share, listen, make connections and help us understand what is happening across Derbyshire’s communities.
