Following the success of last winter’s scheme, Derbyshire County Council have once again provided funds to Derbyshire Voluntary Action for Warm and Welcoming Spaces grants.
A Derbyshire Warm and Welcoming Space is a free and warm space for people across Derbyshire who are struggling to heat their homes this winter.
This grant is available to Voluntary and Community Sector organisations and community-led groups across Derbyshire (excluding Derby City) to help create or improve free, warm, and welcoming spaces for local people this winter.
Grants from £1,000 to £3,000 are available and can be used for additional costs, including:
- Energy costs
- Furniture or facilities improvements
- Staffing for extended hours
- Cleaning for health protection
- Activities and refreshments
The level of funding awarded will depend on venue capacity, expected attendance, hours of operation, and duration of service. Please consider these factors when deciding how much to apply for.
Deadline to apply: 30 September 2025
