Message from Derbyshire County Council’s Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Team
Saturday 7th, September in support of the Baton of Hope and World Suicide Prevention Day, we’re putting on Derbyshire’s biggest suicide prevention celebration event to date!
We’re looking at holding our own but in connection with the suicide prevention event to support the Baton of Hope, which will be coming to Derby City in 2025 as part of the wider campaign (https://batonofhopeuk.org/the-tour/).
The focus is to raise awareness of the support available and how to talk about suicide. while providing information on local and county-wide support around mental health and suicide prevention.
We are taking over Pavilion Gardens in Buxton on the 7th of September, from 10 am till 3 pm (Stall set up from 9 am). We want to fill the area outside the pavilion full of stalls and performances on the bandstand.
If you would like a stall, whether that be a business, voluntary or org. You can also deliver arts and crafts sessions by filling out the form. Likewise, if you’re a musical artist, choir or group and would like to perform, please do the same. Any questions email luke.oldham@derbyshire.gov.uk – We will be in touch with more details and you can sign up by completing this form: https://bit.ly/BuxtonSPsignup
(Music we should have access to speakers and a mic, and all performances will be on the band stand).
