Local artist, Sue Dickins, will be holding her first exhibition in August at West Studios in Chesterfield. The exhibition is being supported by Derbyshire Voluntary Action’s Feeling Connected project, which aims to improve social connectedness in Chesterfield and North East Derbyshire.
Natalie Evans, Feeling Connected Social Prescribing Link Worker, is supporting Sue with the exhibition and is keen that Sue’s art is seen by as many people as possible.
The exhibition entitled ‘This Woman’s Work’ is a collection of figurative pieces, and Sue’s aim is to tell the stories of the women in the portraits through her art rather than words alone.
Framed originals and professionally reproduced limited edition prints will be available to purchase during the exhibition.
The exhibition launches on Saturday 6th August, 6pm – 9pm at West Studios on Sheffield Road, Chesterfield S41 7LL.
The exhibition then runs from Monday 8th August to Friday 26th August, 1am – 4pm Monday to Friday.
Please come along to view these paintings and meet Sue for a friendly chat and to answer any questions you may have.
