Derbyshire Befriending is a new Charitable Community Benefit Society, known as a CBS, which is a type of co-operative organisation whose aim is to reduce loneliness and isolation by supporting the delivery of befriending services.
The launch event will be an opportunity to find out more about this innovative and co-operative way of working, and to hear about the importance of befriending and what it means to people in Derbyshire, from those involved including volunteer befrienders and befriendees.
Any organisation based in or working in Derbyshire which delivers, or is intending to deliver, befriending can become a member.
